The Claremont Resort and Spa
CFP2002 will be held at the Claremont Resort and Spa in Berkeley,
California.
- Discounted on-site guest parking is available for $12 per
car per day. Drivers must tell the gatekeeper that they are with CFP / ACM.
- Taxi cabs and public transportation available just outside hotel.
Coming from Oakland Airport (OAK)
Public Transit
From the Oakland Airport catch an AirBART shuttle to Coliseum/Oakland
Airport BART station. They leave every 10 minutes Monday through Saturday 6:00 a.m.
to 12:05 a.m., and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 12:05 a.m. Travel time between Oakland
International Airport and BART is approximately 15 minutes, but can be as much as
30 minutes during weekday rush hours. The price per trip on AirBART is $2.00 for
adults and $0.50 for children 5 through 12, seniors 65 or over and persons with
disabilities.
From Coliseum/Oakland Airport station, take a Richmond train traveling in
the direction of Richmond. Exit at Ashby station in Berkeley. Emerge on Ashby Road
and take AC Transit bus #9 east approximately 1.5 miles. This bus will stop
at the Claremont Resort and Spa.
On weekdays, the first Coliseum/Oakland Airport train departs at 4:54 am.
Subsequent trains arrive every 10 minutes until 1:02 am. On Saturdays trains arrive
starting at 6:31 am. (20 minute wait between trains). On Sundays and holidays, the
first Richmond bound train does not arrive until 8:22 am. (20 minute wait between
trains).
Shuttles
Another option is to catch a shuttle van. These typically hold up to 7
people, depart between 3:30 am to midnight daily, and cost around $20 traveling to
Berkeley. We recommend you make reservations to accommodate any scheduling needs.
Otherwise shuttle vans leave from the airport regularly.
Taxis
Fares run approximately $35 one way.
Coming from San Francisco International Airport
(SFO)
Public Transit
From SFO station, take a Dublin Pleasanton train traveling in the direction
of Dublin Pleasanton. Transfer at Embarcadero to the Richmond line traveling in the
direction of Richmond. If you miss this transfer point, you can also transfer
once you cross the bay at West Oakland station. Exit at Ashby station in Berkeley.
Emerge on Ashby Road and take AC Transit bus #6 east approximately 1.5 miles.
This bus will stop at the Claremont Resort and Spa. On weekdays the
first Dublin-Pleasanton train from SFO leaves at 4:10 am. and runs continuously at
ten minute intervals until 11:54 pm. On Saturday the line does not begin running
until 5:57 am. (20 minute wait between trains) and on Sundays and holidays, the
first train does not depart until 7:57 am. (20 minute wait between trains).

level at SFO. These typically hold up to 7 people, depart between 3:30 am to
